SEO explained.
Google’s algorithm and the Internet landscape change all the time. If you’re serious about generating revenue online, you need to be in tune with all the ways people look for you—and look to do business with you—online.
Baselines, measurements and the long haul
While paid search can be about immediate gratification and “pay-to-play” in the now, organic search is geared toward the long haul. A measured, long-term approach consists of continual learning, reacting, and adapting. And while we advocate “white hat” (ethical) SEO, you should not be afraid to experiment. A thorough approach to SEO will at minimum:
- Assess your competitive landscape
- Identify the keywords most important to your business
- Plan strategically (by quarter/month/week etc.)
- Align with your current overall marketing plan
- Demonstrably measure success in the form of ROI
