On Getting Started
Do you hear crickets? Yes? That’s OK, me too.
Or better yet, are people making fun your aspirations of being a YouTube sensation? Yes? That’s even better. You’re on your way.
Just keep producing.
“It is not the critic who counts …. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by the dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly…
Transforming Sales Leaders into Thought Leaders
It takes courage to be vulnerable…to show up and keep producing. Your role as a teacher and curator is so critical because buyers are overloaded with information. Sharing your knowledge and expertise in a scalable way through content marketing and social selling is helpful to your prospects and customers, and simultaneously builds up your trust and credibility factors.
You have the tools in your hand (e.g. iPhone 6) and access to social media publishing platforms (e.g. YouTube or LinkedIn Pulse) to build an audience of 5 or 5 million. Size does not matter. It’s the quality of your work and your ability to break through to help that matters.
Courage, Creativity, Commitment and Vulnerability in Thought Leadership
In episode #32 we dig into these topics and more:
- Flying blind with prospects on LinkedIn
- How to schedule, share and repurpose (step 6 of 7) to extend your reach
- Content marketing tips from BJ Novak on Tim Ferriss on transforming from stand up to start up
BJ’s quote is brilliant and so applicable to a content marketing driven thought-leadership program.
“You can’t make each night a referendum on whether or not you should be doing it, you just have to do a bunch.”
It is so important to keep producing. As I’ve heard so many times on Jon Nastor’s “Hack the Entrepreneur” podcast, you can’t produce that perfect 100th episode until you gut through the 99 bad ones.
We’re on a journey together to transform ourselves and our clients and the results will be phenomenal.
